Just yesterday, one of my friends (Adesanwo Temitope) wanted to cut MP3 (music) on his Android before using it as a ringtone but he could not. He then walked up to me if I know how to cut MP3 on Android and use it as a ringtone?

Then I jumped up from the sofa and asked why he wanted to cut the MP3 before setting it as his Android phone ringtone, and his responds was so cool that I had to helped cut the MP3 and locate the MP3 file so as to be able to use it as a ringtone.

So, here today am sharing with you what I taught my friend as per how to cut MP3 on Android and set it as a ringtone for your enjoyment.

There are many MP3 cutters that make cutting MP3’s intro before setting it as a ringtone on Android the easiest thing. Meanwhile, we will share with you here today how to use MP3 cutter & Ringtone makers to cut MP3 on Android and then set it as a ringtone. The simple idea is to either cut the MP3 intro on your Android before setting it as a ringtone or cut off the unwanted section of the MP3 and then set it as your ringtone.

The following steps show you how to cut MP3 on Android using MP3 cutter for Android and then, how to set it as a ringtone in the next section.

1. Download and install MP3 cutter and rintone maker from Google playstore.

2. Launch the app once you are done installing it on your device

3. There are three options on the app page which are: cut a song/music, record and edit and saved ringtone. Now, you will have to click on cut a song/music.

4. The entire list of songs on your device will be fully loaded, then select the MP3 you want to cut.

5. Use the MP3 cutter adjuster to adjust the music to your desired section and then click on save at the top

How to set the Cut MP3 on Android as a Ringtone

Now that you have successfully cut or resize your MP3 to your desired one, it is time to use it for your ringtone whenever you have an incoming call. So, simple to do, just follow this sincere steps.

1. Navigate to your Android phone settings

2. Sounds and notification and click on the gear icon in front of your song general settings

3. Click on ringtone, if your phone is a dual SIM like my Innjoo Max 2, you will be asked to select the SIM option for your newly cut MP3 music

4. Search for the music you cut using MP3 cutter and then set it as your ringtone

Note: This was actually done on Innjoo Max_2, the procedure may be different from your own device.

How to set the Cut MP3 on Android as a Default Ringtone

If you find difficulties in following the steps above, here is the step you can follow to set the cut MP3 on your Android as a default ringtone. Meaning that, if you have dual SIM phone, you will not be able to set different ringtone for different SIM option.

1. Open the MP3 cutter app you installed again

2. Click on saved ringtone/song/music (3rd option)

3. Click on the drop-down menu (Reddish in color as at the time of writing this post) and select “Set as default ringtone”

How to Send the Cut MP3 on Android to your Friends

Few of your friends may appreciate your ringtone, and you may want to share it with them. So this section address the issue of how to send your ringtone to your fellas.

There are different ways to send files on Android without Bluetooth. In fact, Bluetooth isn’t playing the major role this day where there is app like ShareIt, Xender, Flash share etc. However, you will be able to send the MP3 you send as your ringtone to any of your friends via the MP3 cutter interface itself. Then how?

Follow the simple steps below to achieve that with a minute

1. Open the MP3 cutter app you installed again

2. Click on saved ringtone/song/music (3rd option)

3. Click on the drop-down menu (Reddish in color as at the time of writing this post) and select “Share”.
